Alum Flywheel Kit NRG 215mm for 2.0 GB with LATE 130T RG

Warning:  Will not work with 82-94 K and L-Jetronic ignitions.

Fits all 2.0 engines with 1750/2000 gearbox with hydraulic bell housings. It mounts a late model large ID (9.039″) light weight (1989-1994 Model) 130 LITE tooth ring gear (9.950″) that weighs under 1#. The fat small ID ring gear fitted to 1972-74 cars weighs 2.25 pounds.

  • At 15 pounds, this high quality CNC machined steel alloy  flywheel is 7.5 pounds lighter than the original cast iron unit @22.5#.

CLUTCH OPTIONS

PRESSURE PLATES115PP Street and performance engines can use original Sachs.

DISCS

  • European “light” steel flywheels at 16# (73kg) only shed 6# (27% reduction) from stock cast iron (22#) for not much performance gain.
  • For top performance, our 13.5# lighter than stock (61% reduction) aluminum flywheel delivers significant increase in acceleration.

605-20455 Street engines can use original Sachs. (Street engines can upgrade to our organic or Kevlar faced disc.)

D215-ORG Street Performance or Race engines need our 215 mm organic faced compound sprung disc with no Marcel leafs.

D215-KEV  For race or street performance customers that are hard on clutches, this Kevlar faced spring disc is indestructable.  NO MARCEL LEAFS.

D215-S4 Race engines needing more aggressive grip can upgrade to our 215 mm spring center, four ceramic puck discs.  NO MARCEL LEAFS.

D215-US4 For the most aggressive drivers, we make our four ceramic puck (same compound) solid disc. One pound lighter than the sprung unit, this makes for faster shifts and syncro action.

RELEASE BEARING

605-16873 For use with OEM type 215mm Sachs pressure plates 105-215-RBP For use with Porsche pressure plate only.  The contact bearing can be replaced for about $20.

105-725-RB Spruell Motorsport special aluminum adapter and contact bearing.  This contact bearing can be replaced as needed for $20.00.

STARTERS NEEDED (All three will work with 130-tooth ring gear.)

  • Bosch #001 211 025 uses early Bosch unit that came on 72-73 cars.  Wt. 14.5 pounds.
  • Bosch #0001 211 987 Bosch unit that came on 1974 2.0 cars.  Wt. 14.5 pounds.
  • Bosch #0001 108 081 (weight 7.3#) Bosch unit that came on 90-91 cars.  Aluminum Housing #1005 821 419
